PEM Varsity Wrestler of the Week: Dustin Dittrich
PEM sophomore Dustin Dittrich has earned this week’s honor as the varsity wrestler of the week. Dustin is the son of Chad and Wendy Dittrich. Dittrich earns this honor from his continued high performance this past weekend, defeating an opponent that beat him soundly twice last season, and defeating a highly ranked opponent for the second time in a week. Despite being a very large 160, Dustin has been able to discipline his nutrition, which has allowed him to achieve high levels of performance in both practice and events. He has wrestled a team leading 14 matches against state ranked opponents this year and has yet to be pinned or tech falled. He has 4 wins over highly ranked opponents and is wrestling at a very high level in all 3 positions.
PEM JH Wrestler of the Week: Jayden Hielscher
Jayden Hielscher is an 8th grader at PEM and is this week’s PEM JH wrestler of the week. This is Jayden’s first year in wrestling, and has made great progress, both winning his first matches and getting his first pin. Jayden has shown himself to be a very dedicated and hard-working young man. He is unselfish, willing to help others, and willing to make sacrifices for the good of the team. He has also been willing to help with some of the more unglamourous jobs like helping with youth practice and moving mats. He is truly a team player and we look forward to his continued improvement.
