State Champion 2009: Blaine Miller
Blaine Miller won state as a junior at 152 in 2009. Blaine Miller compiled a 47-2 record during the season. He defeated a returning state champion Kevin O’Brien of Becker 8-5 in the finals. As a junior, Blaine had a 155-25 career record with 94 pins.
State Champion 2004: Jesse Kahn
Jesse Kahn was a state champion at 275 in 2004. He was a two time state entrance. In 2004, his senior season, Jesse went undefeated on his way to winning the AA title at HWT. Jesse holds the team record for most wins in a season (44). Jesse has a career record of 102-19 with 81 pins.
State Champion 1995: Ryan Marx
Ryan Marx won state in 1995 at 171 pound weight class. He was a three time state entrant and a two time finalist. Ryan went undefeated his senior year with a 35-0 record. He posted a career record of 95-33-1 with 44 wins by fall. Ryan is currently the Varsity Head Coach at PEM.
State Champion 1993: Jay Stephan
Jay Stephan won the 145 pound weight class at state in 1993. It was his second trip to the finals. Jay finished his senior season 31-0. He had a career record of 113-21-1.
State Champion 1988: Mike Peterson
Mike Peterson won state in 1988 at the 98 pound weight class. He was a two time state placer. Mike had an impressive career record of 98-5-1. He also has the second best winning percentage in school history at 94.2%.
State Champion1984: Mike Buringa
Mike Buringa won state as a sophomore at 98 pounds. He was a three time state entrant. Mike has the second most wins in school history with a career record of 139-20-2. He later went on to coach Plainview Wrestling to an impressive record of 38-10-1 from 1987-91.
State Champion 1983, 84, and 85: Mark Krier
Mark Krier is PEM schools only multi time state champion. He won state three times (in 1983 at 105lbs, 84 at 112lbs, and 85 at 119). He also placed third as a freshman in 1982. Mark holds the school record for most wins (145-9) and the best all-time winning percentage (94.2%).
